GC Dance Company Participation Policy:

All dancers enrolled in GCDC's dance education program will be automatically enrolled in both the Grace and The Golden Shoes Winter Show and the Annual Spring Dance Recital. To opt out of one or both performances, dancers or their guardians must submit the designated opt-out form by the specified deadlines, which will be communicated in advance. It is important to note that there will be no refunds for any performance-related fees, including costume and participation fees, if the opt-out form is not submitted by the deadline. We will provide multiple reminders and detailed instructions regarding the opt-out process through email and our website. Deadline to Opt Out - January 31st 2026

For dancers enrolled in multiple classes, we understand that participating in all performances may be challenging. Therefore, dancers can choose not to participate in the recital for any additional classes they prefer not to perform in. Guardians must let us know about change in participation via email prior to the deadline. - Fe bruary 14th 2026

Dancers are not required to participate in our winter or spring showcase. However, dancers will still be participating in classes. They will learn the routine as if they were participating in the show. It is important to us that every dancer has a positive class experience regardless of participation in the recital or not.
